Christopher Dineen: BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Christopher is our Principle Optometrist. A family member, Chris started his optical career as our Saturday boy when he was 16 years old. He has certainly risen up through the ranks over the years from his early days of making cups of tea and filing record cards to now his senior role of Optometrist, he does still make a good cup of tea though.
He studied Optometry at Aston University and qualified in 2006 and we immediately welcomed him back to our Practice. He has built up a reputation for being very friendly, caring and able to put even the most anxious patients at ease.
Janet Capstick: BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Janet has been with us since 2011 and we are thrilled to have her on board. She studied Optometry at U.M.I.S.T. in Manchester and qualified as an Optometrist in 1980.
She provides our practise with an unrivalled wealth of experience and knowledge. As well as working with us, Janet also practises at a couple of other prestigious independent practices across the North West due to her excellent reputation and clinical knowledge.
MICHELLE COLE: BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Michelle has worked for Peter Booth Opticians since 2015. She studied Optometry at Bradford University and qualified as an Optometrist in 2003. Michelle also trained as a Dispensing Optician prior to becoming an optometrist.
As well as working with us, Michelle also practises at a couple of other independent practices across the North West area. Michelle is an experienced Optometrist and a great addition to the Peter Booth Opticians family.
Ian Booth: BSc (Hons) FBDO
I joined my Father in the family practice in 1995 as our Glazing Technician’s Assistant whilst studying at Anglia Ruskin University to become a Dispensing Optician. University taught me a sound knowledge of optics but I owe all my practical knowledge to our former Lab Technician Andy Hunter who taught me more than any book could ever do and regularly proclaimed that he’d glazed more lenses than I’d had hot dinners.
My passion is ensuring our patients are given the best service and advice to ultimately provide the best eyewear solutions for their needs. My father Peter who is my role model in life has shown me that honesty and friendly service is the best way to both enjoy your work and keep patients happy.
Nadya Booth: BSc (Hons) FBDO
Nadya initially joined our team by in 2003 when she met Ian. She attended Bradford College and studied Dispensing Optics with Business Management and qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2002. Nadya spent the earlier years of her career managing a number of successful Opticians practices in the North West and has been a regular member of the team since 2010.
As Ian’s wife she is a vital member of the management team, with valuable knowledge, experience and a keen eye for style, essential for choosing frame styles and her husbands shirts.
Meet our Optical Assistants:
We are very fortunate at Peter Booth Opticians to have superb front of house staff. Often the first people you will meet when you come through the door and with over 50 years of optical experience between them they are very competent and more than able to deal with your needs.
Our Optical Assistants are fully trained and have the experience to undertake many roles within the practice. These include dispensing your spectacles, repairs and performing clinical procedures on behalf of the Optometrist such as visual fields and 3D O.C.T. scans. They also undertake many essential administrative tasks and ensure the smooth running of the practice.
Quite frankly they are worth their weight in gold and we very much appreciate their good work.
